CARROLLTON, GA, December 15, 2016 – Fertilla Machine & Grinding, an affiliate of Triosim Corporation, recently refurbished a precision tapered bearing seat using their innovative Electroplate process.  Electroplating is a widely-used process that uses an electric current to reduce dissolved metal cations to form a coherent metal coating on an electrode. Nickel electroplating is a technique of electroplating a thin layer of nickel onto a metal object which provides corrosion resistance, wear resistance, or can be used to build up worn or undersized parts for salvage purposes. Fertilla uses this industry preferred process to restore undersized shaft and journal fits. Nickel plating is an excellent option to restore your tapered bearing seat without replacing the entire part.
